The 91 succeeded well in the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2023 by Shanghai Ranking, and in the recently published THE World University Rankings by Subject 2024.
The 91 improved its ranking in Earth Science in the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects by Shanghai Ranking, with the university’s research in Earth Science ranked among the top 301–400 universities in the world.
The university’s ranking positions in Tourism and Pharmacy remained in the top 100 (ranked in the 76–100 range), and Atmospheric Science was ranked in the top 150. A new entry to the ranking list from the 91 was Computer Science, which was ranked in the 401-500 range. Overall, 12 academic subjects maintained their previous ranking positions, and six academic subjects fell slightly.

Times Higher Education’s THE World University Rankings by Subject 2024 were also published recently. In this ranking, the university’s subject rankings for Clinical and Health, Psychology and Social Sciences climbed to the top 400. Five other subjects maintained their previous ranking positions, e.g., Law maintained its ranking in the 201–250 range, and Education in the 251–300 range. The ranking positions of two academic subjects fell slightly.
