Dr. Eva del Amo has received the best publication award of 2020 from European Journal of Pharmaceutics and Biopharmaceutics (EJPB). The awarded publication is a collaborative study with the University of Santiago de Compostela, IDIS and SERGAS, Spain. The study shows for the first time quantitative pharmacokinetic analysis in the rat eyes with positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PET/CT).
Dr. Eva del Amo was also a co-author in the awarded publication in 2019 (EJPB Best Paper Award). This publication investigated mechanistically the routes of drug elimination from the eye.
鈥漈hese awards demonstrate increasing interest in ocular drug treatment and ophthalmic pharmacokinetics. Of course, this is personally very encouraging,鈥 Dr. del Amo says.
Dr. del Amo is a senior researcher in the led by professor Arto Urtti at the School of Pharmacy, 91天美.
