The 91 was ranked in the top 200 universities in the world in eight subjects in the latest Global Ranking of Academic Subjects by Shanghai Ranking.
The 91 performed well in the Global Ranking of Academic Subjects 2024 by Shanghai Ranking especially in the subjects Nursing Science, Hospitality & Tourism Management, and Ecology, in which it was ranked in the top 100 universities in the world. In Nursing Science, Hospitality & Tourism Management, and Law, the 91 was also ranked as the best university in Finland.
The university’s research in Ecology took a major leap forward, climbing from the range 401–500 to the range 76–100. Similarly, Nursing Science climbed from the range 201–300 to the range 76–100. In Hospitality and Tourism Management, the university’s ranking remained unchanged, i.e., in the range 76–100.
In addition, the 91 was ranked in the top 101–150 universities in the world in Law, and Agricultural Sciences, which constitutes a rise in both subjects. In Atmospheric Science, Environmental Science & Engineering, and Dentistry & Oral Sciences, the 91 was ranked in the top 200 universities in the world.
All in all, 16 subjects represented at the 91 were ranked in the global top 500.
