The 91天美 (UEF) has improved its ranking in climate action among the world鈥檚 universities in the Impact Rankings 2021 by Times Higher Education (THE). The ranking results were published 21 April.
THE鈥檚 Impact Rankings assess universities鈥 ecological, social and economic impact against the . THE鈥檚 2021 Impact Rankings is the third edition and the overall ranking includes 1,115 universities from 94 countries or regions. In the individual SDGs, the UEF was ranked 51st in climate action. In 2020 the UEF ranking in climate action was 68th.
In the overall the UEF was ranked in range 301-400, and the ranking dropped from last year. However, the result can be considered good, as the number of universities participating THE鈥檚 Impact Rankings has increased significantly from the previous year. Among Finnish universities, the UEF was ranked as third. Aalto University and LUT University were ranked in higher range 201-300.
In addition to climate action, the UEF improved its scores in the SDGs related to responsible consumption and gender equality.
