Contents: The Circular.now online course consists of five different topics. The first topic examines the use of current resources, challenges, and explores the circular economy model. Topics 2–5 dive into the following themes from the perspective of the circular economy: a sustainable food system, forest-based cycles, technical cycles, and transportation and the sharing economy.
Learning outcomes: After completing the three-credit course, the student can:
- Explain the goals of the circular economy
- Understand how the circular economy can be applied in different sectors
Target group: Anyone interested in circular economy or environmental policy. The course is open to all students, regardless of previous studies or background.
Modes of study: The course takes place in the DigiCampus MOOC environment by studying an online course Circular.now and after the online course writing an approximately two-page essay on "What did I learn about the circular economy?".

The course can be studied independently between Sep 9th, 2024 and May 14th, 2025. You can submit the certificate from the online course and the essay at any time, but the teacher will only evaluate the submitted work twice during the academic year. The work submitted during the autumn semester will be evaluated after 14.12.2024 and the work submitted during the spring semester after 14.5.2025. Make sure to submit your work by these dates.
Study units cost 20 € / ECTS credit. This price holds for the academic year 2024-2025.
