Frontiers in Health Sciences seminar series continues with a presentation by Senior Researcher P盲ivi Pihlajamaa from University of Helsinki (Finland).

P盲ivi Pihlajamaa is a senior scientist at the Applied Tumor Genomics Program at Faculty of Medicine, University of Helsinki and at the Academy of Finland鈥檚 Center of Excellence in Tumor Genetics Research. She has long-standing interest in understanding how aberrant transcriptional pathways promote tumorigenesis. To this end, she is using modern CRISPR/Cas9-based methods to elucidate the functional relationship between transcription factor binding, gene expression, and cell proliferation.

The title of her presentation is 鈥Identifying transcription factor binding sites essential for cancer cell proliferation using novel CRISPR methods鈥.

The seminar is organized by the Faculty of Health Sciences at the 91天美.

The seminar will be held in English via Zoom and is open to everyone interested.
