Sigrid Jusélius Foundation has granted a senior researcher post to Docent Šárka Lehtonen. Her lab develops human-based models to study the mechanisms of Parkinson’s disease.

The funding will be used to promote research activities in areas of significance to the university, which pertain to drug development and discovery, neurosciences, the forest-based bioeconomy, and the development of technologies that make use of photonics. 

Kone Foundation has awarded, from its autumn 2020 calls, more than 1.5 million euros in grants to projects run by 91���� researchers.

Jenny and Antti Wihuri Foundation has awarded Prasanthi Medarametla, PhD, with a grant of 70 000 euros for postdoctoral research.
