10th International Conference on Orthodox Church Music

The International Society for Orthodox Church Music (ISOCM) organizes the Tenth International Conference on Orthodox Church Music: “O Taste and See that the Lord is Good: Church Music, Food, and Nourishment” in cooperation with the UEF School of Theology on 12–18 June 2023 in Joensuu, Finland. The academic programme and the workshops are open to the wider audience!

The Conference programme features academic presentations, musical workshops, concerts, and divine services. Scholars, composers, singers, choir directors, and enthusiasts of church music are invited to participate on site or online.

The event is supported by the Joensuu University Foundation, the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies, and the Orthodox Church of Finland.

 

​The ISOCM was founded in Joensuu in 2005 and it functions under the aegis of the School of Theology. It has members around the world and it hosts scientific and artistic conferences and symposia in Finland, Czech Republic, and the USA. The Society publishes its own peer-reviewed .
