12.00  Welcome. Associate Professor Leila Karhunen, 91

12.10–13.30 Keynote lecture and discussion: Eating Competence is a Reasonable Adventure,
Professor Barbara Lohse, Rochester Institute of Technology, US.

, PhD, RD, CDN, LDN, is a nutrition education expert and professor of Health Sciences and formerly inaugural Head of the Wegmans School of Health and Nutrition at Rochester Institute of Technology. In her lecture, Barbara will discuss what eating competence is - and what it is not. She will explain why it is important to study eating competence, how it can change over time, how it is traditionally measured. She will also introduce some new ideas for assessing eating competence.
